Hope for Your Event Marketing

“How We Deliver Hope” was the theme of a pres­ti­gious event Advent coor­di­nated for a Nashville-based firm fea­tur­ing the Hope Dia­mond. The goals were to attract and impress VIP level prospects attend­ing an annual con­fer­ence and to com­mu­ni­cate the impor­tance and unique­ness of the client’s ser­vices.

The event high­lighted the way the Hope Dia­mond was orig­i­nally deliv­ered to the Smith­son­ian Insti­tute. Two waves of invi­ta­tions incor­po­rated the his­tor­i­cal and cul­tural sig­nif­i­cance of the piece. The first was an over­sized mailer from the Smith­son­ian com­plete with a wax seal. The sec­ond was a box wrapped in a replica of the pack­ag­ing used by Harry Win­ston to deliver the gift. The hook was a story telling how “hope” was orig­i­nally deliv­ered through the U.S. Postal Ser­vice along with a beau­ti­ful crys­tal paper­weight printed with the company’s logo and the phrase, “Deliv­er­ing Hope”.

The invi­ta­tion given was for an evening of cock­tails, hors d’oeuvres and a pri­vate tour of the Smith­son­ian Exhibits includ­ing the Harry Win­ston Gallery with enter­tain­ment pro­vided by a jazz trio. The cura­tor for the Gems and Min­er­als Museum and the cura­tor for the Smith­son­ian addressed the guests and offered a spe­cial pri­vate show­ing, as well as a ques­tion and answer ses­sion about museum pieces. One of the com­pany exec­u­tives then linked their ser­vices to the theme.

The event tar­geted 250 prospects and clients on the VIP level. The result? A stag­ger­ing 16% of the invi­tees attended the event. The event suc­ceeded in mak­ing the client much more vis­i­ble to their prospects and clients while effec­tively com­mu­ni­cat­ing their key message.
