A graceful dismount

You just had a great trade show, and now you’re ready to head off to the big reception with everyone else.  The only problem is you also have to get things ready for the booth to be torn down. While it’s easy to forget this stage of the show, tear down can go smoothly if you plan well. Here are some tips to speed it up:

1.    Assign tasks to each team member (what they are required to take care of and bring back with them) before the show is over. This will help avoid confusion at the end of the show and ensure that nothing is left or forgotten.
2.    Send someone to the customer service line fast! Avoid lines by getting to the desk early for your bill of lading and any labels you will need at the end of the show.
3.    Keep any rental items in your booth.  During tear down, these items can shift to different booths sometimes causing unnecessary charges for missing items.
4.    Run for a cab as soon as you have your booth ready to go. If you don’t catch one of the first ones, you could be waiting for a long time.

I hope these tips will help you have a swift exit while ensuring everything’s in place for the next important show.
