Two ascendant programs, one major statement
With the Basketball Training Center, Florida State has one of the nation’s top basketball-only practice facilities in the country. Within the facility, Advent provided the Seminoles’ men’s and women’s basketball programs with design, graphics and messaging that is distinctive to both teams and yet cohesive with the overall Florida State brand.
Both coaches have at their disposal distinct video presentations — double-stacked video monitors in the men’s locker room and a four-screen mosaic in the women’s space. Lighting plays a key role in creating an eye-catching space, from lit nameplates on each locker to glowing dimensional text in the women’s entrance to a backlit fabric frame spanning the men’s locker room. Custom-built handles on each locker reflect the Seminoles’ iconic spears, creating a space that is unmistakably Florida State.
Messaging within the men’s locker room reinforces Florida State messaging of “Fear the Spear” and “The Warriors are Out.” The entryway features Seminoles’ team logo branding while the women’s locker room is marked with “FSU” lettering on a gold basketball pattern, giving both teams distinctive entrances. Where the men’s locker room emphasized aggressive messaging, the women’s locker room emphasizes team unity.
