Reinventing health-care brand design
When a local start-up asks you to brand its flagship location, you don’t turn them down. NeighborMD asked Advent to help brand its neighborhood health-care clinics in a way that had never been done before, but they weren’t sure what it was.
Advent took on the job, and the finished product was astounding. When you enter the office, it has the look and feel of a spa, with muted colors and earthy treatments that are vastly different from the hospital-like environment of other offices. The children’s area in the lobby is covered in quotes made famous by mothers throughout time, from “you’ll put your eye out” to “brush your teeth” and, of course, “eat your veggies.”
How do you make going to the doctor fun for kids and amusing for adults? Famous doctors. Each exam room is outfitted with images and quotes from a famous doctor, whether Dr. Evil for adults or Dr. Doolittle for the children. NeighborMD bought into the concept fully and the result works. We all know health-care is critically important, but that doesn’t mean it has to be boring.
